Not equal amounts. Equal participation.
Every ministry you value at TIF depends on all of us participating. A place to gather and worship. Pastors and leaders. Children’s programs that teach the next generation. Help for families in crisis. Our two church plants, Hope Fellowship and All Praise. None of us will give the same gifts, but all of us can make the same sacrifice.
When everyone participates, we can stop asking “Can we afford this ministry?” and start asking “What is God calling us to do next?” That’s the church we know we are.
If you are visiting, you are our guest. Please don’t feel any pressure to give. Come, worship, and let the offering pass you by with a clear conscience.

How most of us give
Bank transfer
Most Taiwan banking apps let you set up an automatic monthly transfer. That is what Pastor Todd and Crista do. One-off gifts work the same way.
Put your name in the transfer note so we can record the gift to you. Anonymous gifts are welcome too.
Ways to give
Pick whatever is simplest for you. However it arrives, it goes into the one TIF budget that serves all four congregations.

The offering
Cash in the offering bag at TIF North (10:30 a.m., Morrison Academy, Beitun) or TIF South (4:30 p.m., SYME, Xitun). Grab an envelope on your way in and write your name on it, so the gift is recorded to you. Hope Fellowship and All Praise take up their own offerings.

One gift, or a standing monthly transfer. Regular giving is the most helpful kind. It lets the elders plan, and it is the kind of giving that says, “This is my church. I’m invested here.”

How much does my money have me?
Money is not just something you manage. Money reveals what is managing you. We usually ask, how much money do I have? James asks a better question: how much does my money have me? Money promises freedom and then becomes a master, and it is a cruel one, because it is never satisfied. Giving is one of the ordinary ways God pries our fingers loose.

First hour, first dollar
Most of us give God whatever is left after we have taken care of ourselves. Malachi calls that bringing him the lame animal. We don’t bring God nothing, that would be too obvious. We just don’t bring him our best. What if you reversed it this week: the first portion of your income before the bills, not the leftovers after them?

Grace first. Then gratitude.
When Pastor Todd and Crista were first married, a tax bill arrived that was three times what he made in a month. He called his dad to borrow the money. His dad wouldn’t lend it. He paid it, no strings attached. “If my dad called me right now and said, can you come, I’d be on the next plane. Not because I’m trying to pay him back. Because I’m grateful.” Guilt can make you give once. Only grace makes you free. Jesus gave everything so you could gain everything.

Where your gift goes
For ten years Mission Taiwan covered many of our bills, like parents putting a child through school. That season has ended. Not because they left, but because we grew up, and grown-up churches do grown-up things. Since January 2026 TIF funds its own ministry through the giving of the people who call it home, and still helps carry Hope Fellowship and All Praise.

- Elder oversightThe budget is set and spending is reviewed by TIF’s elder team.
- Records kept with integrityA part-time finance administrator and an outside CPA record every gift, so you can be confident it was received and used for what God gave it for.

I’m visiting. Am I expected to give?
No. If you are a guest, you are our guest. Giving is for the people who call TIF their church family. Come, worship, and let the offering pass you by with a clear conscience.
How much should I give?
Scripture says each person should give what they have decided in their heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion. Not equal amounts. Equal participation. Whether it is a little or a lot, what matters is that you are in: regular, consistent, cheerful giving that says this is my church.
Will I get a receipt or a year-end statement?
Yes, if we can tell the gift is yours. Put your name in the transfer note, or use a Sunday envelope with your name and Taiwan ID number on it. Our CPA uses that to keep the records. For a year-end statement or a Taiwan tax receipt (捐款收據), email pastor@taichungif.org.
How do I give regularly?
Set up an automatic monthly transfer to TIF in your banking app using the account details above. It takes a few minutes once. It is the most helpful kind of gift because the elders can plan around it.
Who sees my giving?
Only the small team that counts and records gifts, under a written money-counting policy. Pastors do not review individual giving, and it is never shared with the congregation.
I don’t have a Taiwan bank account. What can I do?
Give in the offering on Sunday, or email us and we will talk through what works from where you are.
